Description: Exceptionally scarce doubleweight portrait by Russell Ball (backstamped), inscribed and signed by the memorable British-born character actor who had roles in several thirties films including the Bela Lugosi thriller Chandu the Magician (1932), David Copperfield (1935), Mutiny on the Bounty (1935), Charlie Chan's Secret (1936), Tarzan Escapes (1936), and the 1938 Errol Flynn classic The Adventures of Robin Hood. Mundin perished in a car crash in 1939, when he was just forty years old. (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
Condition: Fine Minus with some creasing on the edge areas, age-soiling, discoloration on the center left and parts of the border, and some surface wear
