Baryte crystals of cockscomb habit have been deposited onto a matrix consisting of a narrow band of Dolomite covering a mixture of calcite and quartz.
Prior to the The Baryte crystals forming, a layer of botryoidal Heteroginite was deposited. The Baryte was then pseudomorphed by Malachite, which in turn was partly pseudomorphed by Chrysocolla. This specimen is rich in deep-red inclusions of Heterogenite, a fairly uncommon cobalt oxide.
